Hey Y’all!

I’m Bri Roberts and I am excited to embark upon this journey of leading Special Education with you.

For the past 15 years, I have taught, coached, and supported Special Education teachers, always driving toward high educational outcomes for my students while also maintaining high retention rates for those I lead. I KNOW that when leaders invest into systematic coaching and development of their Special Education teachers, students in SpEd have equitable opportunities and can flourish.

In that time, I’ve learned that I cannot do this work alone. I established EPIC Special Education Consulting to help close the gap in instructional and compliance knowledge for school leaders who may have never been the primary teacher for students in Special Education, but are charged with leading their SpEd Teams to excellence.

I’ve had the honor of serving in school districts and in a charter school system, holding a variety of roles including; Early Childhood Special Education Teacher, Resource/Inclusion teacher, Behavior Teacher, Special Education Manager, SpEd Curriculum & Assessment Specialist, and as a Director of Special Education. I’m here to guide you through potential barriers so you can learn from my mistakes - and not make the same ones. I also bring the perspective of a parent of a neurodivergent child, and a child with an IEP. My ultimate goal is to build programs that are excellent enough to serve my own children, because then I KNOW they are good enough for all those children whose parents entrust them to us. 

EPIC Special Education Consulting accelerates the growth and capacity of secondary SpEd Team leaders’ ability to create an inclusive learning environment for their teams by building their skill in SpEd Instructional Coaching via a Train the Trainer model, thus enabling them to execute equitable professional development opportunities resulting in increased effectiveness in planning and execution of lessons that yield higher student achievement results.
